What we collect

One thing: an email address, and only if you type it into the waitlist form yourself. There are no accounts yet, so there is nothing else to collect. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build a profile of you.

What we do with it

We send you one email, on the day the site opens. That is the entire purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone for their own use.

Who else can see it

Netlify, who host this site, receive and store the waitlist submissions on our behalf. That means your address is held on their servers, which are outside South Africa. Nobody else has access to it.

How long we keep it

Until the site opens and we have told you, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the project is abandoned, the list is deleted rather than kept.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email hello@pleasehireme.co.za and we will do it. You do not have to give a reason, and asking costs you nothing.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

What changes later

When accounts open, this site will store CVs. A CV is a great deal more personal than an email address, so this page will be replaced with one that covers it properly — what is stored, for how long, which processors see it, and how to delete an account outright. That will happen before anyone can upload anything.
